Head and Stomach

Cultures are still coming back negative for infection but they continue to give her antibiotics.  Her stomach is feeling better with less pain.  Wish that was the same for her head.  Today was not a good head day as the headache gets stronger and stronger as the day progressed.  The NS wants to keep the shunt clamped off yet tonight.  Sounds like it will be next week before they do anything with the shunt.

Cindy and family,

I checked Cindy's blog to see how things are going and am so sorry to hear of the recent struggles. Please pass the message along to Cindy that I am praying for her. Since I work in the area of health (biophysics and biochem) I am curious if Cindy ate any red meat or foods containing high amounts of heme right before her attack (up to 4 days or so before)? Just a thought...I've seen her type of symptoms occur when this has been the case, and opportunistic infections or infection type symptoms may sometimes occur afterwards. Also, autoimmune reactions to foods/body made constituents/chemicals can trigger similar symptoms. Just thought I'd pass this info along in case....
