Mary and Lyle said...: I love this picture. It says to me how wonderful it has been that your parents moved here to NW Iowa. They have been able to help you every step of the way. I'm so thankful that they were led by the Lord to move here and that you have been able to rely on them so much during these difficult times. 4-14-14-eye strabismus surgery
2-27-12-shunt removed for possible infection
2-4-12-shunt internalized again
1-28-12-shunt externalized for possible infection
12-23-11-shunt ligation removed because of pressure increase. Antisiphoning device added
12-19-11-shunt ligation. The shunt was tied off in hopes of no longer needing it
7-29-11-removed adhesions and abdominal scar tissue causing bowel obstructions
7-7-09-internalized shunt drainage & replaced shunt valves
6-10-09-abdominal sugery due to infection of shunt. Removed gallbladder & appendix (to prevent future infection) & externalized shunt drainage
6-1-09-shorten shunt tubing/catheter in abdomen
3-16-09-2nd vp shunt placement surgery (left side of brain)
2-5-09-shunt revision surgery (right side of brain)
12-16-08-shunt revision surgery (right side of brain)
12-15-08-vp shunt placement surgery (right side of brain)
2-6-08-Chiari decompression surgery (brain toncils, top vertebrae and back of skull worked over)
